This book ‘knocked me sideways’, the most tender and delightful story of an odd friendship that I’ve read in a long time. I loved its bizarre use of the new age glitz of Glastonbury as a setting for the story to unfold, the description of tha aura that can precede an epileptic attack, and Alex Woods’ transformation from isolated underdog to hero. All done with a light touch and a humorous tenderness. Of all the books I’ve read this year this is the one that will stay with me. I awarded it 10!
